The Primary Care Ehub service is a new system designed to increase the appointment capacity in primary care using e-consultations while freeing up GP practices by managing these requests centrally at PCN level wherever possible.

Patients can submit e-consultations at any time of the day or night, the eHub service will run Monday to Friday mornings and pick up those from the previous afternoon onwards. The e-hub team will consist of triaging Care Coordinators, and an ANP to deal with clinical queries and provide virtual consultations on behalf of the participating practices. The team will have GP support each day. The team may grow to include in-house pharmacists etc as needed.

The team will action the maximum number of e-consultations using agreed triage pathways and refer to other services or on to the GP practice where appropriate. Any e-consultations that cannot be actioned by the e-hub will automatically be passed to the registered GP practice.

Hastings Primary Care Network is seeking a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist to join our dynamic team. As a network comprising nine GP practices, serving a combined patient population of 100,000, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. The successful candidate will primarily focus on providing diabetic foot checks within the population, with a particular emphasis on nursing homes. However, they will also undertake various other primary care podiatry services.
